This week we will have Spelling, Topic and Numeracy homework. Your child should also be bringing home a reading book and they will be directed in school as to how much they should be reading each week.
• ture says chur in the final syllable
• To support the breaking up of words into syllables as a spelling strategy
e.g. ad / ven / ture fu / ture
This week we would like you to practise your spelling words using an art activity. Draw a picture and see if you can hide all your words in this picture (hidden words).
A spelling test will be done throughout the term (not necessarily weekly) to test spelling rules from more than one week. This will be done through dictation where the words will be part of a sentence.
This week we have set you a challenge in sumdog, the focus will be division facts, this will help us for our new topic of fractions. Enjoy!
