We have been revising magic e words and spotting them in everywhere.
We began to exploring poetry and had great fun finding words which rhyme,
Try finding rhyming words when you are out and about over Christmas.
We collected in all our reading books but have had fun reading books from our class library.
We are continuing to work in class on predicting, analysing and discussing the wide range of texts we read – including, but not limited to, our home reading books.

We imagined we had a special key and wrote about our adventure with it.
We wrote some very moving stories about a special gift we would like to give at Christmas .
Numeracy & Mathematics
We continued to look at symmetry in our environment with beads and mirrors and construction material. We began to look at directions and how to follow and give them.
We had great fun using our learning in numeracy based Christmas tasks like dot to dots.
Other areas of the curriculum
We have been very busy making reindeer , hand print Christmas trees and snowmen. Our learning has been full of Christmas themed activities.
We performed our carols outside in front of adults twice. We enjoyed singing the songs. Thank you for coming!
We looked fantastically Christmassy in our jumpers!
