Reflective Friday!!! By Ella and Ruby
In Comprehension we learnt about the winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. The first step we had to read it though. Secondly we had to highlight the important parts. Then we had to take notes in our own words. Lastly we had to make a colourful and eye catching information poster.
We did Reading in our groups. Then we were sent out to do activities on our books the activity we done was called the question writer. You ask open questions about the pages we just read and the others in your group have to answer.
In Maths we are learning how to do remainders it is basically division but with numbers that are not in times tables .e.g. 59/5= 11r4 (the r means remainders)
In shapes we are learning about 3D and 2D shapes. We were learning about the property’s .e.g. sphere 0 vertices 0 edge and 1 face
Chinese new year!
In mandarin we learnt how people in china celebrate the new year. The festival lasts for 15 days it begins on the 16 of February and ends on the 4 of march. In China they like to dress in red and have red decorations. They also like to tidy up and get rid of the old and bring in the new.
The Chinese Zodiac
We were learning about the chinese zodiac we learnt this year was the year of the dog. There are 12 zodiac animals here are them. Rat, Ox, Tiger Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster and Dog.
