We learnt about symmetry. We used mirrors to help us work out if a shape was symmetrical. We found out that lines of symmetry could be diagonal as well as horizontal and vertical. We made some of our own symmetrical shapes.

We wrote a shape poem. We learnt that poems don’t always have to rhyme. We wrote the poems in either an elephant or butterfly shape using nouns, verbs and adjectives to help us describe them. Some people used adverbs to help too.

Our spelling words this week were;

Rule: words ending s, x, z, sh and ch form their plurals by adding es.

Make these words plural:

Topic and other areas

We worked on our skipping skills in PE outside. We think this helped us improve our skipping. Here are some pictures;

In Vikings, we learnt about long ships. The head of the ship often had a dragon to scare enemies away and evil spirits.We made a big longship for the wall. If rivers were forzen the Vikings would ski, sledge or skate over the water.

We had our last ukulele lesson. We learnt to play ‘Shake It Off’ with the G chord which was hard because we had to use three fingers.

Sports Day was on Wednesday. We had great fun. We will find out who won on Tuesday. The P7s, Mrs Hastie and Mrs Conlin helped to set it up and organise it.

We went to the bake sale to raise money for Together in Sport to help people build wells for water.
