Another busy week in P3 .
We have been concentrating on using different addition strategies this week:
using doubles and near doubles
using our knowledge of number bonds to 10 and 20
adding on 10
counting in 2s,3s,4s,5s
We have been looking at our own star steps in numeracy and thinking about what we can do to achieve them.
In literacy we have been thinking about our reading books and how we can summarise the stories. Again , this was our individual star step up to Christmas.
We have been working on a variety of spelling activities to help us learn our spelling words and we had dictation today.
The class enjoyed their trip to the panto and told me all about it.
In art we made Christmas trees from pine cones – please buy one if you come to the fair! We have also started some other Christmas crafts for our classroom.
We are continuing to practise our Christmas carols for Monday 10 December – please come along if you can, 2.30pm in the new hall.
We all had great fun doing the Orcadian strip the willow in the hall today for St Andrew’s Day and Team Ezra were delighted to be voted winners to go forward for B.G.T.
Have a lovely weekend.
