NumeracyWe have continued to learn about money this week and have focused on working out the amount of change we would get when we total up items.
We are continuing to develop our comprehension skills using our reading books.
All spelling groups had dictation today to test our knowledge of the spelling words we have been practising for the last two weeks.
We all wrote a story about space for the World Book Day competition. We were trying to start our sentences in different ways as well as using adjectives and remembering punctuation.
Other areas of the curriculum
Science- We watched a short film about magnetism and explored the properties of magnets by doing some experiments in the classroom.
PE – We were practising jumping and landing and working on our upper body strength.
ICT – We were discovering how to access and launch apps using the lap tops.
HWB – We discussed different ways of making sure we were active for at least 60 minutes every day and drew a picture of how we could achieve this for our display in the corridor.
We played a circle game to revise colours and numbers in French and played Round the World to practise our knowledge of the numbers 1 to 10 in Spanish!
Please see separate blog entry for suggestions of things to do at home.
