P3M 8.3.19

This week we have continued to learn about money. We were selecting the correct notes and coins to make amounts and adding and using coins to pay for different amounts. In mental maths we played games to help us add amounts in our head.

We are enjoying our class novel and wrote our own chapter. We got new spelling words on Monday and have been working on a number of activities to help us learn them. We are all trying hard to answer our written comprehension questions in full sentences.

We were exploring magnets and how they work with different objects- we made predictions and then did a test. We used challenge cards at different stations and tried to explain what was happening and why to a partner.

We were learning to launch applications and manipulate windows.

We looked at the life and work of L.S Lowry and talked about what we thought of his style of painting. We had a go at recreating one of his paintings called ‘Coming out of School’.

We were practising our numbers and colours by playing games on the iPads and completing a worksheet from a selection.

We really enjoyed the opportunity to ‘Drop Everything And Read’ and were able to share some of our favourite  books with P7.

Have a lovely weekend
