Good Morning P4J!
Thank you for all of your fantastic photos this week! We have some happy and smiling musicians, artists and authors in our P4J community. Here is a selection of photos from this week:
Below are the tasks for Friday.
Daily Morning Challenge: How many words can you make out of the following letters?
H A P P Y E A S T E R
L.I – We are learning to create symmetrical patterns.
Daily Maths Task: Easter Eggs
Draw 3 eggs, then draw a light line down the middle of each, using a ruler.
Your task is to create a different symmetrical pattern on each egg. Draw your pattern with a black pencil first to create the outline of your pattern. Then you can add colour to your pattern, remembering to keep the colour symmetrical too!
L.I: We are learning to draw and design using visual elements.
Easter Design and Technology Task: Easter Egg Cup
Your task is to design an egg cup for a famous person. Put clues for the person in your design.
Can a member of your family guess who it is for?
Drama Task from Mrs Hand: Tongue Twisters
Try with another family member, if you can. Start by scrunching up your face and make it as small as possible for a couple of seconds. Then stretch your expressions to make them as wide as they can go. Wiggle your nose, then pretend to chew on an imaginary piece of bubblegum, blow a huge bubble and then pop it. Now try the following tongue twisters…
* I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream
* Red lorry, yellow lorry, red lorry, yellow lorry
* A proper copper coffee pot
* She sells seashells on the seashore
Ideally, start by saying the tongue twisters slowly together. Once confident, you can each say it on your own. You could also try using a stage voice or silly voice. As a challenge, you can try to gradually increase the emotion per turn (this works well even if it’s just two players).
Have a lovely Easter Holiday Jumping Jigglypuffs 🙂
