Below are the tasks for Thursday.

L.I We are learning to order and compare numbers.

Daily Morning Challenge: 

Challenge 1: Can you order the numbers below from smallest to biggest?

Challenge 2: Can you use the symbols <  >  =  to compare the numbers? (remember to think about greater than and less than crocodile!)

L.I We are learning to spell unfamiliar words using our spelling rule.

Spelling rule for the week: to make a plural form by adding ‘es’.

Words ending in s x z sh ch form their plurals (meaning more than one) by adding ‘es’

Daily Spelling Activity Task: choose a different spelling activity from the pack that you have at home and remember to Look, Cover, Write, Check.

Spicy – splashes kisses glasses dresses foxes buses crosses wishes dishes classes

Hot – paintbrushes coaches churches peaches witches beaches addresses watches waltzes lunchboxes

Tricky words – even / different

Extra Challenge Choose 4 tricky words from your ‘high frequency’ list and practise these words using one of your spelling activities.

 

L.I – We are learning to multiply by 9 and learn the 9 times table.

Daily Maths Task: 

Practise both the grid method and traditional column method of multiplication in the tasks below:

Mild – Complete Question 1 to 3.

Spicy – Complete Questions 1 to 5.

Hot Complete Questions 1 to 10.

 

L.I: We are learning to identify and use common nouns and proper nouns.

Daily Literacy Task: Your task today is to follow the link below. Use your knowledge from yesterday to complete Activity 2 and 3 on the link today.
