Good Morning P4J and Happy Friday!

This week you have been working hard at home, creating mind maps, making a fantastic model of the Titanic using recycling, drawings inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and finding similar designs in your home! Thank you for your photos!

L.I We are learning to read a calendar.

Daily Morning Challenge: 

Today is the 1st of May! Answer the questions below, using a May 2020 calendar to help you.

  • How many Fridays are there in May?
  • How many Tuesday are there in May?
  • Emma’s birthday is on the 8th of May, what day is it?
  • Mara’s birthday is one week and 5 days later, when is her birthday?
  • What day is it on       a) 26th May?             b) 3rd May?            c) 17th May?

 

L.I – We are learning to write directions.

Daily Maths Task:

Complete the following task:

Mild: Complete questions 11a and 11b

Spicy: Complete questions 11a, 11b and 11c

Hot: Complete all questions

Extra Task: on your next walk, discuss the route you are taking. You might write your directions down, when you get home.

 

L.I: We are learning to offer our own ideas and opinions about a text.

Daily Literacy Task: The Friday Text!

Read the Shrimp Origami text below.

Write down:

  • What you liked about the text.
  • What you disliked about the text.
  • What puzzled you.
  • Were there any connections or patterns you noticed?

 

Remember to read a book of your choice for pleasure every day for 30 minutes.
