Have a warm-up first then either increase the level or decrease the time to make your learning even more challenging.

Daily Maths – we are learning to make develop our knowledge of the 5 and 10 times tables.                                 Make links between the tables.

Task- Write down the 5 and 10  times table. Make links between the tables.

Whisper them, sing them!

Without looking at your tables, complete these.

Daily SpellingWe are learning to spell unfamiliar words using our spelling rule.

Spelling rule for the week: to break words up into 2 syllables.

A syllable is ‘closed’ when there is one or more consonants after the vowel (For example: ham/per am/ber).

Every syllable must contain one vowel sound.

Daily Spelling Activity Task: choose a different spelling activity from the pack that you have at home and remember to Look, Cover, Write, Check.

Weekly Reading task– read 20-30 pages of your reading book.

We are developing our understanding of a text .

We are finding evidence in a text.

Task– think about the main character in your book.

Based on the evidence you have about the way your character behaves, choose a character trait to describe him/her.        honest   brave   loyal   kind    energetic    daring   helpful    smart

Choose one character trait and write it in the middle of your mind map.

Now find evidence in the text to support your choice. When did your character show this trait?

SUPER–  two pieces of evidence.

FANTASTIC– three pieces of evidence.

SPECTACULAR– four pieces of evidence. One can be a quote- something your character says.

 

Music-We are developing our knowledge of the music of Beethoven and the instruments of the orchestra.

Topic task for the week: We are developing our research skills to explore and develop our knowledge of icebergs.

Before starting this task, you will need permission from a parent/carer to go online and remember to end your search with ‘for kids’.

Task– Find 5 interesting facts then write down at least 5 key words we would use when we are talking about icebergs.

P.E.- Choose an activity from the PowerPoint.

French– continue with last week’s activity.
