Monday Challenge- we are learning to use our knowledge of addition to make number pyramids.
Now choose a different way of building your pyramid to 100.
Extra Challenge– Create a pyramid for your family. Choose a different number at the top- work out a possible solution.
Daily Maths – we are learning to use our knowledge of the 10 X table to divide by 10.
SUPER- Numbers 1, 2 and 3
FANTASTIC– Numbers 2, 3 and 4.
SPECTACULAR– Numbers 2, 3, 4 and 6.
Daily Spelling– we are learning to spell unfamiliar words using our spelling rule.
A syllable is open when there is no consonant after the vowel.
The vowel ends the syllable and therefore produces a long sound. eg ba/con
Can you clap out whilst listening to the long vowel sound at the end of the first syllable?
Daily Spelling Activity Task: choose a different spelling activity from the pack that you have at home and remember to Look, Cover, Write, Check.

Weekly Reading – We are developing our reading skills.
We are finding details in the text.
We are developing our visualising skills.
Task– Read 20 – 30 pages of your reading book.
Identify an important scene in your book. Why was it a key scene? What happened?
Using the details in the text, visualise what was happening. Where was the setting? Which characters were there? Draw a detailed picture and write two sentences to explain why this scene was important.
Reading for Pleasure – Enjoy reading a fiction or a non- fiction text- a recipe book, instructions, poetry, a comic, an atlas. Aim to read for at least 30 minutes every day.
French- We are learning to develop our French speaking skills.
We are learning to say numbers.

Topic-We are developing our knowledge of the events leading up to the sinking of Titanic. We are learning to order events. We are learning to organise events in a timeline.
Task– We now know what happened to ‘The Ship of Dreams’ on its maiden voyage.
Your task is to create a timeline of events, starting with Titanic being built in Belfast and ending with the ship sinking. You could add on extra information you have found out what happened afterwards, if you wish.
There are different ways to create a timeline- you could use a straight line and write the events in neat steps along it.

Before starting this task, you will need permission from a parent/carer to go online and remember to end your search with ‘for kids’.
