Friday 15th May 2020 – Learning at Home Together

Good Morning P4J and Happy Friday!

This week you have really enjoyed creating lots of Charles Rennie Mackintosh inspired designs – Mrs Bailey and Mrs Jones have loved seeing your creativity!  You have also researched and created fantastic timelines for our Titanic class topic and enjoyed practising lots of circus skills! Thank you for your photos 🙂

Below are the tasks for Friday

L.I We are learning to quickly and accurately recall our times tables.

Daily Morning Challenge: Speed Tables

The speed table can be opened on this link and I have added it to the files on Teams too: speedtables-2 (1)

Mild: Complete one speed table.

Spicy: Complete two speed tables.

Hot: Complete two speed tables, time each one and try to beat your time in the second table.

L.I – We are learning to follow a journey using directional vocabulary.

Daily Maths Task: Count how many slabs required for each direction, using the vocabulary ‘forwards’ ‘left’ and ‘right’.

Mild: Complete questions 1 and 2.

Spicy: Complete questions 1 to 3.

Hot: Complete all questions.

L.I: We are learning to offer our own ideas and opinions about a text.

Daily Literacy Task: The Friday Text!

Read the Odysseus and the Cyclops text below.

Write down:

  • What you liked about the text.
  • What you disliked about the text.
  • What puzzled you.
  • Were there any connections or patterns you noticed?

Remember to read a book of your choice (fiction or non-fiction) for pleasure every day for 30 minutes.

Daily P.E Task:  Dance, jump or do a fitness class! Complete a P.E task of your choice. Check out the files on Teams to give you some ideas.
