Learning Together at Home 15.5.20

HELLO P6F !!!

HEALTH WEEK
Have a look at the grid attached below and see if you can tackle some of these activities during Health Week – have fun!
Joe Wicks has a great workout everyday at 9am which is saved on his YouTube page to do whenever you like  . . .

Modern Languages try to complete 3 tasks from this grid over the next week.

Modern Languages 1 Second Level

We are all used to the occasional non-uniform day at school. Well today many Edinburgh schools are taking part in a uniform day. This is to help us feel part of the fabulous Buckstone community. Hopefully many of you will take part!

Literacy

Spelling –

Ask someone at home to test you on your spelling words. Maybe they could test you on the words by putting each word in to a different sentence? Let me know what your score is.

Writing – Desert Island Lockdown!

Imagine if you were on a desert island on lockdown . . . what would you bring from home and WHY? You are only allowed to take 5 things with you.

Write about the things you would choose and remember it is VERY important that you can justify your choices. No right or wrong answers here!

I would LOVE to read some of these.

Art

David Hockney is an artist who specialises in landscapes. His work is very distinctive with clear lines and bright colours. Have a look at some of his work using this link . . . https://www.google.com/search?sxsrf=ALeKk01rp04A9TOD1vTwAzbEBp6sGNn2Rw:1588751101959&source=univ&tbm=isch&q=david+hockney+landscapes&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiygMaI357pAhWPTxUIHd1GCI0QsAR6BAgEEAE

THEN have a look at the instructional video on how to paint like him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQ-O56UrljA

Can you create a piece of art just like him? You might choose to take inspiration from a walk or from one of his paintings that you have seen that you like!

Use whatever art resources you have at your disposal. It does not have to be paint.

I will save all the resources in Teams so if any file does not open have a look for it on Microsoft Teams.

As always any questions . . . just ask!
