Fantastic – london-trip

We have had two weeks using adverts to learn about techniques and the language of persuasion. Before we use these skills to write letters I would like you to try another one. I want you to create an advert which will use as many of the features of persuasive language as possible. To make it more difficult I would like you to try and combine two features to make a stronger statement.

Your first challenge is to see how many of the 11 features you can remember. Once you have had a go, open the word document below and see how many you got correct.

Watch the video below and have a look at the type of product I would like you to advertise.

You are part of the advertising team for Iconic Inventions and they have just come up with a new product.

Today I want you to use your understanding of persuasion to create and advert for a HOVERBIKE. Decide on a name for your invention and then use the planning sheet attached to help with the features you could use.

Learning Intention

We are learning to use our skills of persuasion to encourage the public to buy something.

Success criteria

I can plan my adverts choosing the best features

I understand why the persuasive features are important

I can include at least 7 of the features in my advert. – Fantastic

I can include at least 9 of the features in my advert. – Spectacular

I have made sure I have combined two tactics to make one stronger statement.
