Daily Maths– We are developing our knowledge of position and movement.                                                               We are learning to identify a right angle and a quarter turn.

Key Vocabulary we will be using: clockwise, anticlockwise, half turn, quarter turn, right angle.

Task- Complete the activities on these pages.    

 

Extra Challenge– Make a right angle finder. We have made one in class before. Begin by folding a  square or circle in half, then fold it in half again. Mark where the edges meet to make a 90 degree angle. Now you can use your angle finder to check for right angles around your house and garden.                                                                                            

 

Daily LiteracyWe are developing our reading skills.                                                                                                         We are learning to use an apostrophe in contractions.                                                                           We are learning to identify features found in an informal text.

 

Friday text Read the postcards.

 

Task Highlight the words that are contractions and use an apostrophe to combine two words.                There  are eight of them in total.                                                                                                                  Using a different colour, highlight the words that have the long vowel sound ai– it can                     be  made  with ai, ay or a_e.  There are 10 of these.

Write down:

  •   What you liked about the text?
  •   What you disliked about the text?
  •   What puzzled you?
  •   Were there any connections or patterns you noticed.

Drama Friday Fun- 

Six slimy snails slid slowly seaward.

Say the tongue twister in a quite voice, a loud voice and a scary voice.
