Good morning everyone

Below you will find your numeracy, literacy and art tasks for today and tomorrow morning. I wont be on teams this afternoon as I am going into school to tidy up our old class room, it will be very strange to be in the building again after so long.

Remember this is the last week to keep working on your research project, I hope its going well and you are finding lots of interesting information. Here are the details again. Please share your project with me when you have finished, please add it to the folder within teams or email it to me by Friday 19th June.

Number

I have uploaded a powerpoint which describes the different types of graphs we will look at, please read through it. It is on our teams page and is called types of graph, it is in maths resources.

For today’s work I would like you to complete the worksheets below, the answers are at the end of each document. Please choose the worksheet level based on how confident you feel with what you have watched and read today and also how you got on with the SUMDOG challenge last week.

Fantastic = One star

Spectacular = Two star

If you enjoyed the task use the three star sheet as an extension, it is quite tricky and will test you.

Literacy

Handwriting

Its Monday so please continue to practice your handwriting. Use the powerpoint to work on your single joins. It is in our team page, the folder literacy resources. It is called cursive letter formation

Also I have a link to a good website which helps you form continuous joins and you can create your own worksheets.

https://www.teachhandwriting.co.uk/continuous-cursive-joins-choice-3.html

Make sure you are trying with your other literacy work such as writing and comprehension to use a cursive style.

Learning Intention

We are learning to form various joins accurately.

Spelling

I have attached your words for the week as well as some tasks for you to do each day to practice.

SPELLING P5 WEEK 32

There is a new word every day. Copy each word into the back page of your jotter, which will become a word bank.  Find the definition and record this too.

Additional task:  Write a paragraph using the sentence starter below

Just when Isla thought her day couldn’t get any more hectic…

Art

I thought it would be nice for you to draw something for art today. Please click on the link below which will take you to the Tate modern art gallery page. They have collected some doodles from children and have posted the top 5, you could pick one and have a go. Enjoy!
