Nursery Blog

Here is the link to the nursery Blog.

This will be updated regularly with information.

Well done to our trainee Ms Ward, who has completed her college course and is now a qualified Early Years practitioner.

Ms Ward will continue to work at Buckstone Nursery on a supply basis to cover staffing in Miss Blain’s absence.

Mrs McNally EYP will be working in the nursery on a permanent basis on a Monday and Tuesday after the October holiday.

Another fast week!

The children have really loved the addition of the puppet theatre and many shows have been performed here. The staff have been using props and story sacks to retell stories during our group time, the children loved helping to act out the familiar tale “3 little pigs” and “Owl babies”. We have had the opportunity to make our own puppets on a stick in the craft area.

Outside it’s been a rather wet time! Miss Campbell has been out in it, ready for fun, prepared for the weather with her warm coat, waterproof trousers and welly boots.

Nursery lunches

Please remember that we will be introducing a hot meal after the October holiday.

Our learning this week

  • Use puppets to convey a message or story
  • Listen as an audience and take turns
  • Giving the children the opportunity to make a puppet
  • Staff will use story sacks to re-tell familiar stories using props.
  • During group time, staff will ask if anyone would like to perform a puppet show for the nursery group.

We hope you all have a lovely restful October holiday. We look forward to welcoming you all back to nursery week beginning Tuesday 27th October.

Stay safe everyone xx
