This is what we have been learning this week:
MATHS and NUMERACY
We continued to look at symmetry. We were recognising when a shape has symmetry, working out how many ways a shape could be folded to show symmetry and using a mirror to check symmetry. We challenged ourselves by completing shapes to make them symmetrical.
We made a plan for a piece of writing based on The Nutcracker. We described sounds and feelings and wrote about what might be happening. We will complete this piece of writing next week.
We wrote a personal piece of writing about what Christmas means to us.
In handwriting we learned to form t and k correctly and revised f.
(Reading books will be collected in next week).
We listened to pieces from the Nutcracker Suite and drew pictures based on what we heard/ what we imagined.
We created Christmas cards using our thumb and finger prints.
We all enjoyed watching Jack and the Beanstalk together.
On Thursday 17 December P3MB will be having their Christmas party. The children can bring in their own juice and party snack to have afterwards in our classroom. Children are allowed to wear party clothes/ non uniform that day.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
