MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM P3MB!
This week we have been learning:
MATHS AND NUMERACY
We completed a time assessment to see how much we have learned about digital and analogue time.
We used shapes to create a symmetrical tessellation.
We completed a picture to make a symmetrical Christmas tree.
We have been focusing on trying to learn the common words we are not sure of.
We wrote an imaginative story based on the plans we had written last week about the Nutcracker.
We learned some French Christmas vocabulary and watched a short story about Pere Noel.
We are continuing to listen to the music of Tchaikovsky and we compared different pieces of music by him and chose our favourite one.
We began creating our own version of Trepak using instruments and linking what we know about sound.
We read the Christmas story together and talked about why Christmas is so important to Christians. We discussed what religion is and how it is important to respect all beliefs.
We had great fun at our party, everyone joined in the games and enjoyed the snacks and juice back in the classroom.
We have come to the end of the first term of P3. The children have coped so well with all the Covid measures in school and have continued to approach their learning with enthusiasm. They have been stars.
We look forward to seeing everyone in January 2021 and hope you all have a lovely holiday.
