Welcome back to our Friday’s posts!
What a wonderful week we had. It has been such a joy to be back for us all. The children have been fantastic, what a resilience lesson for us to see how well they have settled back into the school routine.
They have played with each other in a lovely way, sharing resources, taking turns, lots of chat too! What a lovely bunch of kind children they are:
This week we have focused on wellbeing ensuring a good transition from home learning to school. We have done revision of all the areas that your children have been working at home.
We have been working on the sounds that we have learned while learning at home. Most of children need some work on the sound th.
We have done an independent piece of writing about our own news. It has been lovely to see the children’s progress. Thank you for all your work at home!
We have continued to work on our hundred square and counting in tens.
On Monday we were very lucky with the weather and we did singing outdoors. We had a great time with the pancake song.
On PE we have worked on fitness and games to get ready for our Race for life on the 20th of March.
As part of our STEM week we have started a mini topic on castles. We have learned all about castles and our challenge was to build our own castle using any items in the class. Look at our team work!
We have been doing potions too!
- We are getting ready for our ‘Where food comes from’ topic and our challenge at home this week is to try a vegetable or a fruit that we have never tried before. Please let us know how do you get on. It is okay if you don’t like it but give it a try!
- From next week our reading books will go home on a Thursday and there will be returned to school on Monday. Please remember to bring your book on a Monday.
- PE days: Tuesday and Thursday. Your child should wear PE clothes those days.

Have a wonderful weekend!
