Hello Tigers! How are you all?
We hope you are all well.
Remember our meeting at 9.30. We are looking forward to seeing you all. It was lovely to see you yesterday, thank you for the ideas for our next memory game!
We have ready some learning for you to do at home.
We hope you are enjoying your reading books. As we have mentioned before please feel free to use any books you have at home too.
Today you could try to read your book independently to an adult at home. Talk about the words you found tricky or you didn’t know the meaning on Monday.
Today our new sound is the final consonant blend LP
Please watch the video and pause when the words appear (1.15) so your child can read them before the word is said. Discuss the meaning of new words.
Challenge: Write three sentence that contain a word with the LP final consonant blend.
On the attached PDF there are three activities ( same but with different challenge level), please choose the one that suits your child best.
I can share out a group of items by making smaller groups and can split a whole object into smaller parts. MNU 0-07a
I am learning to
- Split a whole into smaller parts and explains that equal parts are the same size.
- Use appropriate vocabulary to describe halves.
- Share out a group of items equally into smaller groups
A half is one type of fraction.
The way we write a half reminds us that it is one out of two equal parts.
We have seen how we can split objects or shapes into two equal halves, but we can also split or share a quantity or number into two equal parts to find 1/2 of a number.
Can you complete the sums on this worksheet?
(Please note, there is no need to print the sheet, you can just copy the sums, but if you choose to print the worksheet only print page 1)
Top tip – if you are confident with your doubles facts this will help you, but you can also use small objects to help you if you wish)
Visit the hit the button website and choose the halves button for some extra practise, an adult can help you choose the right level of challenge for you.
