A big welcome to the Smeds! We have had a great few days exploring our classroom, getting to know each other and making new friends. We have been busy building brick castles, playing outside and reading stories. We also decorated some special photo frames so we have a memento of our first day in Primary 1!
We have also started to practice our school routines. Our morning routine involves hanging our coats and bags up on our named peg, changing our shoes and putting them in our named cubbyholes, putting our packed lunch and snack on the red shelf and putting our water bottle on the blue shelf. We then wash our hands at the sink. It would be great if you could practice this routine at home with your child as the faster we can do this, the more time we will have for learning.
Each week we will share some of our learning from the week and will share some of the children’s thoughts and opinions via “Reflective Friday.”
I have so enjoyed meeting all the children and getting to know lots about them. It has also been great to say hello to some of you at the door. Please let me know if you have any questions or worries and do get in touch with me via office admin or send a note with your child.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
