P7C Spelling for week beginning 30.8.21

Our spelling rule for this week looks at the ou and ow sounds. The ou (as in round) appears in the middle of a word but never the end. The ow sound (as in flower) appears in the middle and at the end of words.

The children will do an assessment in class today to see which of the following 20 words they don’t know. They will then create a list of 10 words to learn over the course of the week. If they know these 20 words already then they will need to use a dictionary to find trickier words that fit the same rule to create their list of 10 words.
