P7C week beginning 13.9.21

We shared our assembly with the rest of the school today and I am hoping to send the link home next week so we can share it with parents and families as well.

This week we have been learning:

Pierre helped us be art critics this week. We analysed Banksy’s art and thought about what the message of each piece was. Then we created our own using stencils like Banksy does and they had to have a message.

Please can any annual data checks and learning stories be returned to school. Have a lovely long weekend 😀

P7C spelling for week beginning 13.9.21

Our spelling rule this week looks at words that end in le (as in handle) and what happens when we add ing to the ends of those words (as in handling).

The children will do an assessment in class today to see which of the following 20 words they don’t know. They will then create a list of 10 words to learn over the course of the week. If they know these 20 words already then they will need to use a dictionary to find trickier words that fit the same rule to create their list of 10 words.

A few people have been asking about JASS folders – they should be completed at a pace that works for you and your family then brought into school when a section is completed. The choice of activities is entirely up to you.

We have been working hard on creating our assembly and look forward to sharing it with you and the school next Friday. we have been learning:

P7C week beginning 30.8.21

We have had a super busy week and are looking forward to sharing our learning with you at our assembly in a couple of weeks. We have been learning:

We developed our teamwork skills through loose parts play in the playground. Some of us made dens, some people experimented with water and some groups tried lots of different ideas. We had to be creative, use resilience, communication and negotiation skills.

As part of our class novel and to practice our teamwork skills we made each other into mummies:

P7C week beginning 23.8.21

We have had a very busy first full week back at school. Here is some of what we have been learning:

We have been thinking about the skills for learning, life and work that we will be developing in P7. We thought teamwork and resilience would be the most important so we have been focussing on those. Here are some photos of our teamwork task this week:

Last week we also made Teamwork Art:

Have a lovely weekend everyone 🙂

Welcome to P7C!

Welcome back! I have really enjoyed getting to know the class better this week and I am looking forward to our year together 🙂

We have had a busy few days thinking about how we want our classroom to run for the year. The children have been getting to know each other as a new class and have been working on their teamwork skills.

As a class we have decided to be the ‘Cool Chewbaccas’ and we have been thinking about how we can be ready, respectful and safe in school.

Our PE days will be Wednesday and Thursday, please come dressed for PE on those days.

Have a lovely weekend 🙂
