Learning Summary 10.5.19

A short and busy week in Primary 6!

We had an exciting Maths event in Boroughmuir with our local schools taking part in some problem solving on Wednesday, well done everyone. 🙂

Preparations are well underway for the P6 Greek Feast which we will enjoy in our classes on Thursday 16th May. We will keep researching interesting information about the Traditional Greek Dress-wear, Food, Sports and areas of interest before then and if you wish to, you might like to do more of this at home (see blog entry attached for other ideas!). Please remember you can bring in a Greek outfit to wear if you would like to, perhaps inspired by a toga or Greek God or Goddess we have learnt about and if you would like to donate any food for our get-together that would be very gratefully received, thank you. We are hoping to keep the theme Greek and ask that anything brought in has no nut content please. Suggestions from P6 have included grapes (if possible cut in half), salty biscuits and fruit juice…We will also have a mini-Olympics event so will still need our PE kits for this.

Next week is also our Health Week so please remember to wear Sports clothes to school each day to enable us to be as fit, active and engaged in Health and Well-being learning as much as possible. Wednesday is our Sports Day and we look forward to hopefully seeing you there! 🙂

Thanks for your support and have a great weekend,
Mrs Ling and Mr McKeesick
