Primary 7A have created a new Home Learning Grid using Bloom’s Taxonomy to develop our Higher Order Thinkings Skills. This grid will take us up to the Easter holidays. A minimum of 2 items per week should be completed and brought into school on Mondays.
Blooms Homework Grid WWII 2
On Monday P7 are going to create two World War 2 themed classrooms.
In the spirit of the 1930/ 40’s we would like to use material / objects which can be recycled for other uses, eg, plastic bottles for the hull of ships, fuselage of plane, boxes for suitcases etc.
Please bring in anything which will help. We only have Monday 5th February to do this.
P7 are using their Long Multiplication Skills in Maths to calculate Money word problems. Here are some links to show two methods (Grid and Traditional) taught in class how to perform a long multiplication calculation:
Hope this is helpful.
WW2 HOMEWORK GRID
Primary 7a voted to learn about Word War II as their new Social Studies topic. Therefore, this Home Learning Grid has been designed around this theme covering all discrete curricular areas.
The children are also going to undertake a Personal Project in Social Studies. They compiled a list of Wars and Conflicts that they were interested in learning about; either WWI or The American Civil War. The end of their Personal Project will culminate in a comparative study with WWII. Their key tasks for this will be to identify similarities and differences. The children will be given Learning TIme during school to conduct their Personal Study.
P7A Christmas Ho Ho Home Learning Challenge
Your mission is to:
- Decide on your favourite Christmas song
- Write what it is about
- Say why you like it
- Find out something about the artist who recorded it
- Design a new CD cover for it
We will then compile a Christmas Playlist.
