As we have had a wonderful year with Primary 7 we would like to finish the term with a small treat for the children. On Thursday we are planning to host an ‘all-American’ afternoon where we will provide hotdogs, potato chips and juice. We are keeping our fingers crossed for nice weather so the children can enjoy them outside.
We will ensure that vegetarian and gluten-free meals are provided so all children can celebrate their time at Buckstone.
We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your support throughout the year and our very generous gifts.
We wish the children all the success for the future.
Mrs Kirkmali and Mr Couper
Just wanted to say a big thank you for my lovely Tea Party yesterday and all of the delicious cakes, fabby gifts and very kind good wishes. Have a lovely Summer!
On Friday we would like the boys and girls to bring in some games or toys to play with. Please do not bring in anything valuable or precious and NO ELECTRONIC GAMES.
Please bring back any PLPs that have not been returned.
Primary 2 spent the whole of Friday morning outside. We went into the woods to make tracks and built tepees, then played some Native American style games in the playground. A big thank you to all our adult helpers who made the morning possible. Everyone had great fun, have a look at what we were doing.
We had great fun today in the playground and the woods despite the unseasonal weather ! Huge thanks to Mrs Kneller, Mrs Johnson, Mrs Paterson, Mrs Turner and Mrs Watson-Mather. Please have a look at our photos to get a flavour of what we got up to.

Please can any pupils who have a fleece jacket at home double check that it is their own? A brand new purple fleece with a pupil’s name in it has gone missing.
On Wednesday, we performed a Fashion Show of our Buckstone school uniforms to show the new Primary One parents how smart we look. Here are some videos of our show for you to enjoy!

The music goes with the words on the sheet we have given you – do not learn the words on the video
This is what we now need actions for
On Friday the 19th, p2c and p2g will be spending the whole morning outdoors. We are having a Native American activities day to consolidate all the learning we have done this term and to have some fun. Amongst other activites we will be building dens in the woods and playing in the mud kitchen. Pupils should wear old clothes for the day (school uniform not required) and bring a substantial snack for playtime . Thank you.
We used natural materials to leave Native American signs in the playground. Then we had to hunt for all the signs our classes had made.
