***Please can you check with your child that they still have all of the equipment they need for their learning in school. This should include: writing pencils (at least two would be very helpful), coloured pencils, rubber, sharpener. Thank you!***


P2s- revision of the oi/oy sound for example: coin, boil, foil/toy, boy, annoy

Revision of tricky words from block 1 and 2.

P3s- words with k/ck endings (Rule: long vowel sound = k ending; short vowel sound = ck ending)

Your child will have chosen either the core or challenge list in class.

Core list: sack clock thick track shock week leek cloak look cook

Challenge list: thicken tracked shocked week weak leek leak cloakroom looking cooked

Tricky words: give, have


New reading books will come home today (Monday). Please remember to bring in your book every day so that you can work on tasks in class. We will collect books in on a Thursday. Most children are remembering their books every day- well done Golden Treasures!

We are continuing to work on reading with fluency. Practise reading as much as you can at home. Keep practising reading the tricky words. We are also looking at our favourite characters in the stories we read and why we like them.
