P5B Reflective Friday 30.10.20

Good afternoon everyone.

Literacy

Our spelling pattern

    • Adding ly
    • This suffix begins with a consonant and therefore the root words do not change unless the root word ends in y, in which case y becomes i
    • e.g.    rapid +ly
    • e.g.    tidy + i + ly
    • If root word ends in l then simply add ly (gradual + ly – gradually – double l)

Here are the words

loudly             cheaply

foolishly         rapidly

silently           secretly

bravely           gradually

happily            tidily

easily               quietly

Our tricky words were

very                  every

Here are the children’s reflections.
