Hello everyone,
MATHS AND NUMERACY
This week we have been learning about O’ clock times using analogue and digital clocks. We matched analogue times to digital times on a worksheet and some of us learned about half past. We continued to practise the months of the year and tried to link them to the seasons.

THINGS TO DO AT HOME
Talk to your child about O’ clock times and try to spot analogue and digital clocks when you are out and about.
We talk about our class calendar every morning and discuss today, yesterday, and tomorrow. Please talk about the days of the week with your child and discuss what day it is.
LITERACY
This week we revised the sounds rk nt ng nk tr gr and the tricky words she and be.
This week’s dictation practised the sounds we have been revising this week.
We use Pink for Think and Green for Great to reflect on our learning.
This week we were writing about Sports Day and which activity we had enjoyed the most.
THINGS TO DO AT HOME
There is no new homework this week, please continue to revise the sounds already given out and build words with them.
Please continue to practise the words on the reading vocabulary card, a few words at a time and share the reading book your child has brought home.
HEALTH WEEK

We began our Health Week with a fruit tasting.
We were lucky with the weather and managed to have Sports Day without getting wet.

As part of Relationships, Sexual Health, and parenthood, we have been naming body parts, completing diagrams, and singing songs to help us learn.

The whole of Primary One took part in Simon Says Dance and everybody enjoyed showing their dance moves.

In the gym hall we played games with Ryan which involved lots of different movement and helped us to stay fit.

The whole of Primary One was outside for a giant scootathon on Friday morning.

LOOSE PARTS
The next day for Loose Parts is Wednesday 17 May.
We hope that you all have a lovely weekend.
(Any donations of boxes of tissues gratefully received- thanks so much to everyone who has sent a box in).
